Question about Smeg 24 in. DWI612 Built-in Dishwasher
We've moved house and have this dishwasher and I'm finding it utterly dreadful...the top rack seems too low, which means that the spinny thing sometimes fouls on the large plates so doesn't turn, and now I've realised that the other reason for a very poor clean is that the tablet door seems to be fouling on the top rack so it isn't opening properly and the tablet is only crumbling out partially when it gets soggy enough. A I doing something fundamentally wrong or is this just a really bad design??

Most cleaning problems are caused by the dishwasher not getting enough water. It could be cause of the switch level, which control water level in the tub. The switch level is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. I am not familiar with your machine, but if you will open the rear panel you will find it easily. Be aware you should discoonect the power cable !!! Clear the tube (attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub) from any obstruction. In case it will not solve the problem, you should replace the switch. Good luck !

SOURCE: Stuck on Glass cycle!
Hi melH Sounds like the water is not heating. Will be either an open circuit thermostat, heater element, or the switch / relay that controls the element. Using an ohm meter, test the element for resistance. Check thermostats for continuity. Regards

SOURCE: I went to take out
1. Check that water enters dishwasher.
2. Check that water is heated, tablet door will then open, this allows the propellor to shoot hot water at tablet to dissolve.
