Sony Grand WEGA KF50WE610 50 in. Rear Projection HDTV ready

Hello, Last night my wife and kids were watching the tv and heard a pop. The screen went black after that. The unit still receives power. When I power it on I hear a sounds in the back, I don't know how to describe it. I have had this tv for over 4 years with no problems. Thanks for any feedback.

Hi,
It seems lamp/ bulb popped again, check lamp inside tv.
If tv does not show red blinking light then it would be lamp that knocked off, replace lamp in tv to fix its problem, please buy Sony original lamp for good picture in tv.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

I heard a pop and screen wet black. red lamp

Lamp inside TV is broken and requires replacement. Pop sound was its breaking sound.
Lamp replacement procedure is written in user manual, pretty easy.
Please buy Sony original lamp for TV safety and avoid aftermarket/ cheap lamp.
Let me know if you need to download user manual copy.
Thanks.
