Question about Apple Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

Screensaver stuck My macbook is stuck screensaver. I was away for a minute or so and returned to find it it in a seemingly irremovable screensaver mode. The trackpad didn't react at first but after a while I was able to move a little rainbow cursor whilst being stuck in screensaver mode. Hot corners can be triggered, they don't change anything, though, because I end up back in screensaver mode.

Sounds like you have a runaway process that is consuming all resource. Sorry but you'll just have to hold down the power button until the machine shuts down. Then restart and you should be ok.

Do a hard re-boot, hold down the power button until the lap top turns off. Then re-start and check to see if everything is ok.

My screen only displays after 4 /5 hrs

Try a different screensaver.

Also look in the display properties by simply right clicking the desktop and clicking properties.

Then locate power management.

the initial seems to be a bad screensaver judging by the 20 minutes, but the 4-5 hours seems to be a sleep mode that bypasses the screensaver issue.

Its the poblem of SCREENSAVER which gets activated every 10 minutes.

In Control Panel, go to Display Settings / Personalise - - - - -> In Screen Saver select NONE.
