The are not supposed to. they are permanently mounted in an "erector tube". When you adjust the point of aim, you are actually moving this tube. What you see in the scope will not change even though the point of impact moves as you adjust.

Check you mounts. If mounted properly you should have enough. if they are not moving at all you have prob broken the fine wires that form the crosshairs.

Is there anyway i can restraighten my riflescope reticle?

You'll need to contact Nikon. The reticule is fixed inside the tube and should not be moving. If your reticule has shifted then it's a defect.

You can contact Nikon's repair service at 1-800-Nikon US (1-800-645-6687) or check our their website here.

I HAVE A RIFLESCOPE THAT THE RETICLE MOVED IN AND WAS NO LONGER STRAIGHT UP AND HORIZONTAL-NOW IT SEEMS TO BE CLOSE TO WHER IT SHOULD BE AGAIN-TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS HAPPENING

Although I suppose it isn't impossible for the reticle to loosen, has the body of the scope perhaps just turned? Maybe the mounts need to be a little tighter.

Crosshairs are cocked to the right.

your scope has spun in the scope rings. Loosen the screws holding the scope to the rifle and turn scope until crosshairs are into position. Then tighten screws. You will need to sight in again. If it keeps moving replace scope rings.

Sighting in my scope

That should be covered in your manual.

If not, give Nikon a call.

Or, repost your question on a Bulletin Borad such as at SWFA, where another user may have the identical scope.
