Question about Televison & Video
I have a couple of issues with my Vizio M550NV 1. There is a dark bar across the left 8" or so inches of the screen. I can move my cursor over it and still see my cursor. Toward the bottom of the bar the picture bleeds into the dark bar a bit. I've cleaned and re-seated the flat collectors from the board to the panel and saw no change. Any ideas? 2. After the TV's been on for a bit, the right side of my screen starts to show horizontal static lines and a 2" black bar appears down the center. If I play with the flat connector it goes away. 3. I have a few vertical lines (red, blue, black) going from the top to bottom of my screen. Any ideas?

SOURCE: Vertical line on side of LCD TV
Modern televisions have screens divided into sections. Each section controls all the rows in its area, and it is controlled by its own video separate video driver. If you are missing a line in a section, then a problem has occurred with the driver board in that area. It will be pretty expensive to fix, I hope your warranty has not just expired!

That problem caused by a connection between LCD crystal and matrix driver,no tools yet to reconnect that metal to crystal connector,Claim warranty right away that will multiply or became larger.

If the screen works for a short while and then completely fails once the TV warms up you have a problem with the main unit video board or the LCD control logic board. Most often if the picture cuts out but audio continues to work the logic board is over heating and should be replaced. However if the picture cuts out and audio shuts off as well then its your video input board.
