Some good things to check, thanks, Steve. In the end, it turned out the insulation on one of the internal wires to the brushes had worn through and was shorting out on the metal body. Easy fix in the end!

The speed switch on top may be in between speeds. Try it in a different speed. If not the top switch, the the trigger may be bad. Does reverse work?

15hp Koehler, new battery, solenoid, starter, coil. While trying to start the fly wheel turns approx 1/4 turn then stops with some clicking. When I help rotate flywheel and try again it will start.

New batteries often need to be recharged before being installed. If it does it when battery is fully charged then your statter needs replaced.

What can cause my Homelite cordless lawn mower UT13126 to stop after 3 minutes when the battery is fully charged

Your rechargable battery may no longer accept a full charge if it is old.. Get it tested at a garage.
Possibly the battery is OK, but the lawnmower blades are too stiff to turn and the battery soon gives up. Check blades can rotate freely, and have not got entwined grass or string etc wound around the shaft

Fail to start

I think I would change the petrol in the tank as it may have become a bit stale. Also I would replace the battery.Make certain the replacement battery in fully charged before you try again.

Re - Lumix Panasonic DE- 994 battery charger ??

Hi Cyril,
In theory this charger is fully automatic and stops the charging process once it detects that the battery has been fully charged (it will not restart charging until the battery has been taken out + put back in).
Of course, as with any electrical item, it's probably safest to unplug it if you're not planning to use it for a long time (e.g. weeks.)
Hope this helps.

Canon 400d will not switch on

it might be a problem with the battery connectors.
They might not touch the battery well.
another reason, it might be the battery is dead or the power button is not working.
