Question about Samsung MT1066SS Convection/Microwave Oven

Panasonic nn ct776 invertor/magnetron

I've got an nnct776 which is cutting out after 5 seconds or so and clearly has a problem either with the magnetron or the invertor. Is there a way to work out which has failed? I've got it apart and there is no sign of discolouration on the invertor board whereas the magnetron has some heat discolouration on the fan side. Other than that I have no clues. How do I diagnose?

H98 means that the magnetron or invertor has failed. The invertor is not user serviceable.

Microwave fuse keeps blowing on my Panasonic Microwave NN-9854P

I would check the door interlock switches and then if that doesn't fix it replace the invertor board and possibly magnetron.

Panasonic Microwave Oven NN-S262BF It starts to run and stops after 3-5 seconds

The problem sounds like it is in the keypad controller, behind it there is a microprocessor with additional parts that work in conjunction with the hardware, if there are issues there the cost to repair would not be justified, better option is to replace.

Our s333 panasonic microwave stops working after 1 second?.. it just shuts off?? can you advise?

It probably requires a new magnetron or an invertor board or both. Take it to an authorised Panasonic repair agent for an estimate for repair.

Brand new panasonic nn-ct776. When using microwave only goes for about 5/6 seconds and then stops other oven cooking methods works OK.

If it stops after 7 seconds, it has a problem with the inverter.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

Plus, since it's new (less than one year old), it would be fully covered under warranty. I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

What cause the wattage difference?

Wattage is based upon voltage & current. I would think that on the 1300W unit, either the voltage or the current is higher than that which is used on the 1200W unit.

Perhaps the magnetron in the 1300W unit is being driven harder. Are the fans the same size?, The magnetron in the 1300W could be running harder and they have a larger fan in it.

In any event, if the part numbers are the same, you should have no trouble using one units parts to fix the other.

Good luck!
