Router unable to acquire ip address

Please help me because my router is unable to acquire ip address. thanks.

logon into your router through n/w interface first (ethernet not wireless) using the default IP assignment of the router. Now you can manually assign an I/P to it.

who is your Internet service provider? cable? if YES then log on to userinterface using the dg address of your router and do a pc mac addresss clone. then reboot everything.,

If you are using a username and password for internet connection then you can use the PPPoE configuration also on your user interface.

You're not telling us much.
What's the OS and what have you tried? Wired or wireless?
This problem is usually solved by resetting the router to defaults and starting over, following the directions carefully.
