SOURCE: no heat

hi there
your problem is either the t-stats have blown which is very common or your heater is blown..

im guessin your t-stats beacuse they are the most common on hotpoint dryers to blow. There always blowing

They located at the back of the dryer behind the protuding panel so there for you dont need to open it all up just that panel.

To check if their blown check for continuity,, no continuity no good merry christmas cheers

SOURCE: PROBLEM WITH HOTPOINT DRYER

http://www3.sears.com/imaging/ImagePageJava.shtml?productTypeID=0151200&brandID=1811&modelDesc=DRYER&modelNumber=NVLR333ET0WB&documentID=E2136683&documentTypeID=PLDM&documentClassCode=PV&titleType=DRUM%2C%20BLOWER%20%26%20DRIVE%20ASSEMBLY&titleID=00004&

This is a diagram of your particuliar unit. These Hotpoints are manufactured by GE. The heating element is right behind the drum itself. First is to unplug the unit. Open the door, and look at the top edge of the top of the door. You will see two screws that hold the top down. Remove these screws, then lift the top off. You will have to reach your hand under the drum (and really reach around) and unhook the belt from the idler pully and motor pully. The drum is now free to pull out, directly forward. Your heating elements are now right in front of you. Be sure you check both for drooping, touching each other or the sides, broken wires, etc. Also, these elements are very, VERY expensive. They make a rewire kit that will save you a TON of money. Instructions are included with the kit, Be sure when you put the drum back in, you grease the rear bearing slide and plug.

Heater Assembly (whole unit) Part Number WE11X103 $90.00
Restring Kit: WE11X203 Part Number $35.00

Also, both of these parts are usually found on E-Bay in groves. Do yourself a favor, do not buy them from Sears, they have too high a mark-up, shipping is also way to high, and takes forever to get there. Let me know if you need further help. Thanks and good luck!!!!

Hotpoint Dryer model DLL2650BFLWH won't blow heat

So your not getting any heat. There could be a number of different problems. I believe this is a gas dryer. You would need to remove the drum and check the ignitor. This is a little complicated and I would recommend a technician since this is a gas drier.

My dryer wont come on its a hotpoint model #dlb2650bgl the timer is ticking the interior light comes on my husband put a multi-meter on the start switch and shows power what else could the problem be

The first thing I would check is the door switch. If it isn't closed the dryer should not start - although the timer would be active. If it won't tumble or heat then that is the first thing I would check and on Hotpoint that is a high failure rate.

My hotpoint dryer will not produce heat any longer. it seemed to be weak at first on heat production taking 2 sometimes 3 cycles to completly dry clothes now its stopped all heat production what would be...

There are two solutions to this problem. The first one is to check your vent hose. It could be plugged up and it won't vent out. Second problem is it your elements. Depending on what model of the dryer the tops of getting it fixed would be $150 with labor.

My hotpoint ctd 40 wont heat up

Things that could stop a electric dryer from heating:
- house fuse or breaker ( needs two of them ), heating element, burnt wire, thermostat(s), thermal fuse ( not all models ), motor heat switch, timer, selector switch, burnt power cord/plug.
A ohm meter test for these parts is here.
