Most likely your problems is related to driver, especially sound driver. To double check if all the drivers is installed properly, go to: Computer > Right Click > Then select Manage > In the drop down menu on the left choose "Device Manager"
It should show what driver is installed and not yet installed. Do look up your driver at Emachines website for any download. After all driver is installed do reboot the computer.
