A standard ATX PS won't fit in your low profile case. The plug types can be different too. Usually there's a schematic with a PS that describes the wire color of each voltage. So you could conceivably shove the pins out of one PS plugs and insert them into the different plug, or solder the wires to the correct pins, and leave the PS outside of the case.

I think is not possible, because no space for additional harddisk, casing is too small, but if you release the cdrom, you can plug additional harddisk to cdrom place, but no screw mount to casing

SOURCE: computer will not start

It all depends how many beeps there were.
From http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12253_div/12253_div.HTML
Diagnostic LED Explanation Table Number of 1-second red LED blinks followed by 2-second pause, then repeats:
2-processor thermal protection activated
3-processor not installed
4-power supply failure
5-memory error
6-video error
7-PCA failure (ROM detected failure prior to video)
8-invalid ROM, bootblock recover mode

I have only really come across 4 beeps = order new Power Supply or 5 Beeps = reseat the memory and hope it works

Oli

Can i put Nvidia 7300 SE 512mb 64bit video card on hp dc7600sff with 240 watt power suply will it work and not burn or overheat power suply or some other part?please help

Hi.

Yes you should be able to install that card in the DC7600 as it is a low profile graphics card, however i would think about upgrading the power supply as 240 watts might be a struggle for the computer.

Hp dc7600 PC Desktop is it compatible with MSI 8400GS 512MB PCIE TV OUT + DVI and will it work and not overheat power suply? Thanks

The problem wouldn't be overheating, the problem would does your power supply have a high enough wattage to run the card. Typically you want a power supply with at least 300-350 watts. Most store bought computers won't have a big enough power supply. Drop the card in and power up the computer. If it boots all the way your good if it doesn't, upgrade the power supply. You want hurt the computer by trying. Also when you open the tower up the wattage should be listed on the side of the power supply. There are plenty of cheap power supplies on line. Just looked on newegg.com $30 for a 500W. Search YouTube on how to install, it's pretty easy.

Power led light

You need not worry, it appears the LED light is a little faulty and your switch mode power supply is OK.
If you are worried then replace this LED.

Problem with the HP Compaq dc7600 Small Form Factor PC Desktop Audio driver is installed but microphone is not working.

Depending on operating system installed, check for microphone enabled in "sound" setting found in control panel. Also may have a "mute" setting in sound mixer control aplet.

I have an HP Compaq dc7600 sff that will not power on. It has a solid green light on motherboard, no other response.

1) perform a powerdrain i.e. unplug the power cable from the back of the computer and then press power button and hold it down for 10 secs
2) open up the chasis and reseat the power cable i.e ATX connector coming out of the SMPS to the motherboard
