I need to save my e-mail in my computer since I am moving.

And cannot take my carrier, CenturyLink, since they do not have service in that area. Could someone help me?!!!

Dear Marilyn,
Do not worry. As long as you have an internet connection ANYWHERE in the WORLD, you will be able to access your email.
If you have a complimentary email from them like,, you should call them and ask how long you'll be able to access it and then migrate to Gmail, Hotmail, yahoo, etc. But, DO NOT worry!! Your emails will be safe!

Whyy can't I change my new computer to century from my old computer?

Have you rebooted your centurylink modem? A lot of times the internet hardware needs to be rebooted as it registers the MAC address of the computer it's connected to.

You can access your Centurylink email directly from their official website:

Login with your username and password and click on Check Email

You have been using my old e-mail address. Toss it! From now on use:

To change the email address registered with FixYa, click the down-arrow next to your avatar in the upper right of any FixYa page, click "My Profile," click the "My Account" button, make any changes, then click the "Save My Information" button.

If you want to change the email address registered with someone else, please contact that someone else directly.

If you log onto, you can ask for the settings for POP mail.
They will guide you through them. Basically, you need your username and password along with the pop mail server and the smtp mail server. The pop server will be pop.centurylink,net. The smtp server is The server required authentication, but not SSL

My laptop is running slow and i can not change my home page to centurylink, need a tune up!

Hi ,
1st- lets get the computer running faster , click on the start button and on your right side you'll see my computer , ,double click on the icon , this will bring up a screen showing your harddrive and dvd/cdrom ......right click on your harddrive ( C:\ ) scoll down the menu to clean disk . this will clean your harddrive .....then another menu will pop up showing you all the files you can delete , go throgh them to make sure you dont need the files on clean up and this is the 1st step ,
2nd - you can run disk defrag , this will also help yor system .........
OK , now for the centurylink , go into the control panel and click on internet options , this will bring up your service provider , make sure you have as the home page ..........

Hi i have a 2wire gateway 2701HG-B modem I used for AT&T DSL internet. I moved to a location where I cant get AT&T. Is it possible to use this modem with centurylink for internet?

Hello, if centurylink is a DSL service, than you can use it for internet. It appears that Centurylink is a DSL service depending upon which service you get from them. In that case, you can use it for their service.

I saved voice mails but can;t find how to retrieve them? 911 !

Are you not able to retrieve new voicemails or only saved voicemails? Occasionally your carrier may delete old saved voicemails to make room for new ones.
