How to clean air filter?

Hi Sharon!

If you have a paper air filter it will need to be replaced, rather than cleaned.

However if you have a foam air filter you can wash it in mild detergent and allow it to completely air dry and put it back into your chainsaw.

Here is a video about how to replace the air filter on a chainsaw, most are pretty similar, so if it's not quite the same brand as yours, it should give you the general idea.

Best of luck!

you would be safe to run a standard 25:1 mix 200ml of 2-stoke oil to 5 liters of petrol/fuel/gas.....(5000ml divided by 200ml= 25) most 2 stoke oil is able to run at 50: 1 mix ...instuctions on what oil ratio should be used are always displayed on the oil bottle you buy for aircooled 2 stroke engines....

Air filter for Dynamac DY41 chainsaw

if its a two cycle engine the only filter it really needs is a fine mesh brass screen over the intake , micro particulate dirt will go straight thru the carb and combustion chamber with no problems , four cycles they require a nice oiled foam filter that can be purchased new or made from a used bit of pkg foam and pair of sharp scissors , a squirt(not soaked) of bar chain oil into it and its good to go , as the carbs and cylinders will be affected more by small parts of dirt

HUSQVARNA 41 CORRECT FUEL FILTER TO BIG FOR MY FUEL LINE IN TANK--DO I NEED TO GET BIGGER FUEL LINE??

you can get saw specific parts from a Husq. dealer or you can make shift something to get you by. the key is to make sure the hole in the tank is slightly smaller then the diameter of the hose to ensure there is no air leak there. I drill the tank hole out a size at a time until I have to force the hose in that will fit snuggly on the carb inlet then replace the fuel filter with one that fits the line

Try changing the spark plug. Maybe it is bad and does not have enough spark . You may also want to check if the carburetor is getting gas . It seems that it probably is not . By the fact that you have to spray stating fluid. Check the hoses, filters, and the choke. Remove and clean the fuel filter and air filter . And by all means , check the ignition switch. That it is on and working .
