95 Ford F 150 how do I repair the ignition Bar in the steering column because can start truck keybut will not turn off must pull coil wirefor motor to stop

Tabs in it are spring loaded. And there are many springs. Once you get the switch out, Pop the covers loose. Separate them slowly. You don't want springs popping out, they are small and easily lost. Loose one, replace the switch. Once apart, if any plastic is melted, replace the switch. Clean the tabs and make sure all the springs are the same length. Stretch them if necessary. And swap them around. Springs collapse because or heat.

Typewriter carriage royal quiet deluxe everytime I type the lid keeps on popping open. I was wondering how to fix it?

There is a snap lock spring like a small dowel on the cover, the spring must be loose. Tighten the screw if it is loose, otherwise, detach it and slowly bend it back to shape (Be careful, springs sometimes break and fragments can go to your eyes, use goggles), after that return it. If the spring is too loose, you have to change it. Another source can be the like thing that goes into a small hole maybe worn off. It is usually under the cover. You might have to replace it.

Bobbin tension too loose

You don't give us the make and model of your machine.... so it's hard to give you decent specific advice. Secondly your question isn't making sense. If you are getting loops on the bottom your top tension isn't right(too loose) if your loops are on top your top tension isn't right.(too tight) The only time you would mess with bobbin tension is when you change thread weights significantly. Like from 40 weight to 92 weight or visa versa.

Look at your bobbin case, bobbin carrier, shuttle/carrier..... there is a spring (it's a flat piece of metal) on the spring is a small screw. Use a small screw driver and tighten the spring 1/4 turn. Loosen your top tension a couple turns. (remember right to tight, left to loose)

How to fix a door latch of Samsung SMH9207ST microwave?

The small tab on the latch broke so the spring was loose. Took my drill and drilled a small hole in the main body, ran a small wire tie thru it and hooked the spring to the wire tie. Works great and more durable than the orginal dinky hook.

Xr250r spring found loose in top end rebuild (small about 2.5mm x 6mm length) where does it belong suspect it is decomp related

Go to and search the microfiche. Perhaps its part of a spark advance mechanism. Sounds too small for an internal part , at least for the head. Some times you find a small spring pushing a ball held in by a bolt on the bottom of the engine(pressure relief valve?). Do you have any friends helping that are practical jokers?

Can't get the parking brake to release with handle on 1998 gmc sonoma.

Check the cable attached to the back of the handle sometimes they come loose. May be a pain to reattach but it is simple to do. If it is attached check the spring relaease on the brake if the spring looks stuck press the brake down but do not let it click and then use a small prybar or screwdriver to move the spring. If both of these areas are working check the cable under the truck that engages the brakes to make sure it did not come loose.

Losse antena

Did you purchase this unit new? If not, someone may have taken the unit apart and lost a small spring out of the antenna assembly. If you place the unit, display side down, with the antenna hinge away from you, there are two small phillips head screws on the right side. If you remove these screws, a small plastic endcap for the antenna assembly will come loose and the antenna can be removed. Where the endcap and the antenna are hinged together, there should be a small spring that puts tension on the antenna. If the spring is missing, the antenna will not remain in position.

Paper won't feed due to piece coming loose

If it is the piece I am thinking of, try replacing the spring with a modified spring from a click-top pen. Otherwise, please add a photo of the issue for better understanding
