I’m attaching a wiring diagram which hopefully isreadable.
I’ll also list the “where to”instructions for all of the other wires.
It’simportant that several wiring steps be done in a particular order.
About the Memory Wire:The memory wire is Yellow and should be connected to
the +12 V power terminal (which isenergized at all times). First besure to connect the black ground (earth) lead to a metal surface of the car.Important…>>Before making connections, turn the stereo unit and carignition off to avoid short circuits.
>>Connect the yellow and red power input leads onlyafter all other leads have been connected.
>>The power antenna (aerial) control lead (blue)supplies +12 V DC when you turn on the tuner.
Hope this helps.
Lemme know if you have more questions or would like me to email you acopy of the owner’s manual.
Thanks, and take care.
Gail

Connecting the Sony CXS-GT08HP Car Stereo Unit1. To a metal surface of the car>First connect the black ground (earth) lead, thenconnect the yellow and red power supply leads.
2. To the power antenna (aerial) control lead orpower supply lead of antenna (aerial) booster amplifier>Notes
>>It is not necessary to connect this lead if there isno power antenna (aerial) or antenna (aerial) booster, or with a manually-operatedtelescopic antenna (aerial).
>>When your car has a built-in FM/AM antenna (aerial)in the rear/side glass, see “Notes on the control and power supply leads.”
3. To AMP REMOTE IN of an optional power amplifier>This connection is only for amplifiers. Connecting anyother system may damage the unit.
4. To the +12 V power terminal which isenergized in the accessory position of the ignition switch>Notes
>>If there is no accessory position, connect to the+12 V power (battery) terminal which is energized at all times.
>>Be sure to connect the black ground (earth) lead toa metal surface of the car first.
>>When your car has a built-in FM/AM antenna (aerial)in the rear/side glass, see “Notes on the control and power supply leads.”
5. To the +12 V power terminal which isenergized at all times>Be sure to connect the black ground (earth) lead to ametal surface of the car first.
Important…>>Before making connections, turn the car ignition offto avoid short circuits.
>>Connect the yellow and red power input leads onlyafter all other leads have been connected.
>>The power antenna (aerial) control lead (blue)supplies +12 V DC when you turn on the tuner.
>>When your car has built-in FM/AM antenna (aerial) inthe rear/side glass, connect the power antenna (aerial) control lead (blue) or theaccessory power supply lead (red) to the power terminal of the existing antenna(aerial) booster. For details, consult your dealer.
>>A power antenna (aerial) without a relay box cannotbe used with this unit.
