Question about Harley Davidson 426290 AM/FM Radio

HD 2001 UCI Radio

I have a 2001 HD Ultra Classic with a stock radio. On occation and now more frequently that before, the radio will go into a Seek Mode and activation of any control button will not stop the seeking. I also loose the ability to turn the radio off. After a period of time the radio may go back to a state of which all is operating normal. Turning the ignition switch off and on may but does not always clear the problem and if it does the problem may return very quickly. I am looking for advice as to what area is or could be failing. Is it likely that one of the control switches has failed or is it more likely that the malfunction is in the radio itself.

Have a 2006 UCI and the radio worked fine until battery discharged and the radio won't come on now. checked all fuses and all are OK. I'm not sure but it might need to enter a code to activate the radio again. What to Do?

My bike did the same thing.sent the radio in for repair, they sent it back and said it had no problems,it worked great.after hrs of debate i decided to put it back in the bike,it still did not work,so started taking it out again, the wrench i was using touched the frame and the radio came on,every time it ground the radio to the frame.i put an external ground wire from the radio to the frame, its worked ever since.and i spent 300 bucks at hd,and fixed it for nothing myself

Need to remove radio on 2010 Harley ultra classic to fix the jack where it was push into the radio can't find anyone to fix mind

You will need to remove the outer fairing. There are four allen head bolts on the sides of the radio that will need to be removed. Push the radio through the inner fairing. United Radio, in New York, is the business Harley Davidson uses to fix these radios. Standard cost thru a dealership for any repairs/exchange is $400. The cost is $50.00 if you have an extended warranty on the motorcycle. Your dealer will ship the radio, if you decide to go that route.

02 Ultra radio switches from cb to radio on its on

06 and newer CB modules have a weather alert feature that will switch to a radio station in case of an alert. The radio stations sometime transmit the signal by mistake. Check to see if your CB has this feature and if it does, turn it off
