I have a sound resembling leave noises that comes from in the dash board. The noise comes and goes. It initially started at the front right side. The noise stopped for two weeks and is now located in front of the driver area. My guess is I have debris in duct work or could it be something else? Is there an easy way to blow out the ducts to see if that is an issue? Thanks.
SOURCE: A/C heater vents will only blow out the defrost ducts.
Some times you can "reset" the computer for that by disconnecting the battery for 15 or 20 seconds then re-connecting it. If that doesn't work then the mode door motor assy might have stripped gears or broken gears. (they are plastic) If you are familiar with where the mode door motor assy is you can turn the knob to change the mode (i.e. defrost, panel, floor) and see if the motor is turning. If motor is turning and mode does not change then the plastic pieces have broke or stripped. Usually when there is a problem with the climate control system it will default to the defrost simply as a safety thing. So you will have defrost so you can see where you are going. Hope this helps you all out, good luck.

common problem, check under dash by the gas pedal if control arms are muving went selecting from ac to heat cuz this it is the control for the vents to go from ac to heat and to defrost.

more likely a broken door in hvac case.with car running work controls and watch actuaters operate to locate good luck maybee a little challange

More than likely the problem is with one of the blend doors or its actuator motor inside the HVAC unit in the dash. The repair involves a partial disassembly of the dash to access the parts. This definitely not a thermostat issue.
