Flash mode stuck on Olumpus C-7070

Hello, The camera at the moment has been set to 'no flash' and it will not allow me to change it to anything else. I am not sure whether I have changed a setting or it is a software problem? Any help would be really appreciated. Cheers.

SOURCE: Major lock-up with sb800

Be sure to tkae the flash off the camera and see if you can move around the menu .

You might even want to do a power down . Take the batteries out of the unit .

The try again .

The Quatum might have done damage but I know we need it for our work for sure.

You could also have a problem with the main CPU in the flash . Now if you are trying to adjust when on the camera you might have a loose hot shoe on the camera or a bad ground.

SOURCE: Nikon D90 not taking picture with Metz 58 AF-1 N !

maybe like with the sb-900 there is a temperature control cutoff. It might stop shooting when the flash bulb gets hot, and then resumes when it has a chance to cool. But idk for sure. just a guess.

SOURCE: stuck on standby and flash not working?

Try this:

Turn on flash.
Wait unit ready.
Short out center pin to outside contact, this must fire the flash.

PS. Don't look directly at the flash when doing this test.

Can i use my vivitar 4600 with my nikon d300s?

Yes. You can use the flash in auto or manual mode by setting the camera to manual shutter speed within the x-sync range and then selecting the aperture prescribed by the flash guide number or the displayed automatic f-stop on the flash. The flash can provide auto exposure with the camera in manual mode, but you need to be aware of the amount of ambient light which will not cause any exposure corrections by the camera in this mode. Another alternative is to select Aperture preferred automatic on the camera and the f-stop shown for the auto flash settings. This will allow the camera to vary the shutter speed but may cause long exposures if the camera is not sensitive to real-time flash readings.

How do i change from remote ttl on my nikon sb800.

Press the Menu button. Scroll to the Custom Setting Menu. Scroll to "e Bracketing/flash". Right arrow and scroll down to "e3 Flash cntrl for built-in flash" and push the center button. You now have access to the TTL, Manual, Repeating flash and Commander modes. Right arrow on CMD and a menu will appear that allows you to set up the built in flash and the external flash groups.

My 580ex ii cannot change back to Auto zoom its stuck at 14mm

If removing the batteries overnight doesn't allow it to reset, try mounting the flash on your camera, turn both on and reset your camera to factory default settings through your camera menu settings.

Stuck in AF-ILL ONLY mode

Is the flash still on the camera when you do this? If so, check your camera settings as well as the camera may be over-riding you.

If the flash is not on the camera, some of the settings for custom settings can only be changed with it on the camera via camera commands.

If you do not have the manuals, you can get them here:

Hi, I have a Canon Speedlite 430EX II. I use it with Canon Rebel T1i. I don't really know a lot about using an external flash, I'm just an amateur I must say. I just always have it on automatic mode and...

Okay big breath, The Rebel T1i controls the flash (one reason you turn the flash on and off that's it) so you may have simply switched metering modes, with flash you should be on Evaluative mode.

Another thing is the camera may have been programed for TTL in the Menu E-TTL is the "normal" but if it's changed then the changes stays until you change it back.

I think it's the metering mode but if not you need to go into the camera Menu, Flash Control, External Flash, Flash Mode then select E-TTL. I found this all in a PDF manual of the Rebel T1i pages 139 through 141.

Hope this was a help.

The normal flash will not work

The camera in P mode does not allow the pop-up flash to work until you turn it on. Make sure the camera is in green box mode and if the flash does not work then the camera will have to be sent to canon for service.
