Power on, but nobody home

My printer is 6 months old. I came back from an extended holiday (turned all the power off before I went) an when I returned the printer stopped working.
1) fan or something is on cuz it's humming
2) all LEDs are on and NOT blinking

Any help would be great. the support guys at OKI weren't at all helpful.. Thanks.

- Having th same problem. Used my printer 5 days ago just fine then went to use it again no power. Swapped it to another outlet and it came on. Ok problem solved, no. Returned to original outlet and again power came on. Hooked it back up to the computer, hit print, the printer icon came on the screen, the pages processed then the icon disappeared and nothing happened. No errors, nothing is blinking. On the hold now with Canon. - uptownmindi

- I have had my hp laserjet 3330mfp for 4 years and it's always worked great. Yesterday I came down to my home office and there is no power. My hp color printer is fine. I changed outlets and made sure the connections were good, but still no power. Anyone had this problem and found a solution?- AtHomeAtWork

ok my printer is not that old and when i changed the cartrige it started slamming the ink thing back and forth!! help

If you are using Windows XP try entering Printer and Faxes from your start menu.
Check your printer is indicated as ready rather than offline. If offline - reinstall the drivers.
If it is ready you have -print a test page - option. If the test page does not print then the conection cables may need checking.
If it is an ink problem then the paper will move through the printer, but nothing will be printed.
This may also flag up error messages which may tell you what is wrong.

If this an inkjet then you might find that the cartridges have dried up.
