Cant connect

Hi purplegarion,

hook up the router per instruction in manual and your particular internet connection.  With the Di524 powered up, use the end of a paperclip to depress the reset button located in a little hole beside the power connection.   open internet explorer and type in 192.168.0.1 and press enter.  The password is admin. once th screen appears, click on Wizard.  Follow the wizards directions carefully.  

For simplicity of security click on the wireless button while in the  wireless screen.  Set radio to on.  Enter a SSID like purplegarion. Set to open system.  Set Security to WEP.  Wep to HEX.  64bit.  Enter into Key one a 10 digit number you can remember like 1234567890.  Click apply.  Change your password to a personal password other than ADMIN.   

Any device that attaches will need to enter the WEP 64 Bit hex Security key 1234567890, or whatever 10 digit number you put in the router. 

Internet connection will require powering down you modem, and the DI-524 router.  power up the modem first and let it go through the start up, then power up thte DI 524.  you may need to make sure your DHCP is set to Automatically assign an IP address.
