Re: Mitsubishi WS 55807 Corroded Board

Generally the attack on paper & wire like speaker & that can be replaced. as per other things like wire is concern as you have told that tv is working, can be changed. tha pcb which has some short of corrosion can be cleaned by pure petrol & it will run fine.this is just advice now it is up to you. for original misubishi you can contact company. & for other board is concern you can get at any tv spare parts shop. hope this will help.

High Definition--WS-55807

IF the MITS has 3 component inputs blue red yellow RCA jacks on the back then yes at 480 or 720p, you'll need to attach 2 audio cables for sound. If it has a HDMI input then absolutely.

Won't come on

The power board has failed and will need to be repaired or replaced. you can remove this board and, replace individual parts and save a lot of money. You will be inspecting for swollen capacitors and resistors. also, look for discolorations on the board itself.

Mitsubishi WS-55807 turns on but then powers back down after a few seconds

Good Day;

The fuses tell you that circuit has failed and was drawing too much current. No other test is needed.

Good Luck, big Irish.

Corroded Board

The best place for board repair or replace is PTS 1-800-844-7871 Yes you would need to fill the CRT's fluid level back up. The liquid is Glycnol(Liquid anti-freeze) Poisonious yes is swallowed! So take precautions. You can get if from places like MCM electronics, Tritronics,, etc. It's called CRT coolant fluid. Yes and you would need to fix leak, probably a gasket or seal. Hope this helps!

Turn on tv and after a minute it turns itself off

Check fuses F9A04 and F9A05 (5A micro fuse)on the board in the middle.If one or both are open than you need to change both the convergence IC's (STK392-570)along with the fuses.
