I have used 2GB cards for a while now. I recently purchased an 8GB (Kensington) card. When I put the card in the Zumo 450 and it is attached to the USB cable on my computer, it shows up on fine on my desktop (a 2006 Intel iMac), and I can put MP3's in it and play them on the computer.
But when I put the 450 on it's mount on my bike, the files do not show up in the music player. All Garmin software is up to date.
I formatted the card as a FAT32, using DiskUtility.
It will only recognize 999 songs, so if you have more MP3's than that it won't load. It also helps to put the songs in several folders on the card so that they will load up faster.
More than likely your Zumo will not recognize cards larger than 2 gb. This is not a problem with your device. They are not designed to use larger cards.
