RCA Opal M4002 MP3

I have made the mistake of downloading some songs 2x on my MP3 and cannot find any info to instruct me on how I can delete these songs. Surely once a song is downloaded it isn't there forever?! So I just need to know how to delete songs from my RCA Opal M4002 MP3. Thanks

You plug it in to your computer and then go to my computer, click opal, and then open files. Once you do that just delete the songs you don't want...

I had all kinds of problems with my RCA Opal 2 GB Digital Media Player - M4002, but after I Downloaded and installed "Opal Firmware (Version 2.3)" from the RCA web-site below
http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads.aspx?product=192
All my problems were solved and it works great … I hope it can help you.

The same thing happened to me.(I have a different model but I'm sure you can solve it the same) Go to the website and download the frimware thing and it will completly clean your MP3 of data you added. At least it did for me.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: RCA Opal M4002 MP3

Hello:

Maybe you can delete that song by connecting your MP3 to the computer or any pc that is available. Once you have connected, you can browse the file on the drive designated by the computer.

By using the computer you can add more songs or you can delete the song that is not necessary.

may this help..best regards, melnavz

Hi, How do I delete music from my Opal M4002 mp3 player?

if you want to delete music from your Opal M4002 mp3 player, all you need is use the usb of the player and connect to your computer. If the computer recognizes your usb then a folder will pop up and you choose open folder. Then you can right click on the music you want to delete from the player. That is all you have to do.

M4002 RCA Opal says it is now playing, but doesn't move forward

Many updates end up deleting all songs off your player as a side effect - try reloading your songs onto the Opal and see if they will play after that.

Also, make sure the hold/lock switch wasn't accidentally activated.

Another possibility is that one of the updates made a change to which DRM licenses the player is compatible with. If you have songs with an older DRM-9 license, they may not be usable after the update. which music service do you get your songs from? If it is a licensing issue, then I would try loading only songs that are in mp3 format - they will never give you funky issues.

You need to actually get the newer software/drivers from the RCA website and THEN it is compatible - they are not explicit in the FAQ about this.
