When transferring music sometimes the tracks don't package themselves in the relevant folder . . . although they look perfect in the software, on the YP-K3 they're randomly placed. Could this be anything to do with file names?

my installation disc dont work, what can i do?

  • lucyann Dec 04, 2007

I use media player (i can't add software to my laptop-it's a work one.) Sometimes the file transfer is perfect but sometimes it is random, like making ten copies of an album, each with one or two tracks. Worse, if I cannot find the media details, and type names in, it looks fine on my screen but when I disconnect the cable, the MP3 has kept it all as 'unknown' and puts them all in the same folder, so you get track 1, track 1, track 2, track 2 etc, or else in a new 'unknown' folder. But you do not know what the hell they are till you play them. Any ideas???

If you have Windows Media Player, just plug it in using the proprietary usb cable, and it should show up in Media Player. Click the Sync tab, and simply drag and drop.

Suddenly, my YP-K3 Samsung music player is not turning on. I've tried to do a hard reset on this. Like, keeping the reset button on hold for 30 seconds but still, it won't work. I tried to reset it for so...

You may need to upgrade the firmware to fix it so try this. To Upgrade Firmware 1 Connect to http://www.samsung.com, select [SUPPORT] [DOWNLOAD CENTER] and then select your player. Future upgrades may be available for this player to enhance performance and compatibility. 2 When the player page appears, select [Firmware] below the model name to download the latest firmware. 3 Uncompress the downloaded file onto your Desktop. The uncompressed files will be displayed. 4 Connect the player to your PC with the USB cable. 5 Right click on the Start button on the bottom left of your PC's screen, then choose Explore to Open Windows Explorer on your PC. [Samsung YP-K3] is displayed in Windows explorer. Hope this helps.

Where can i get the software for yp-k3?

Download site for YP-K3

My tip though, is to install the latest firmware so you can use it in UMS mode (which would mean that you can use your program of choice to transfer music).

How do I delete music from my SAMSUNG K3

Ezy! Open Start menu -"My Computer" and you'll see the YP-K3 player sitting there as a removable device. Now click it and then click Media folder, then Music folder. In there U can easily delete your music and/or add music by copying/pasting INTO that folder.

Hope it helps...
