HP Pavilion dv9205us.....my wireless stops working after I shut my computer down. I reinstall the drivers and it work for a while, then it justs stops.

Is your version of Windows 7 32 or 64bit? Open the Network and Sharing Center, select Change Adapter settings, is the wireless adapter listed? Is the Wireless Adapter in the Device Manager under Network Adapters? Have you done ALL your Windows and HP updates? Usually Windows 7 will apply the generic driver to the devices. Do you see any UNKNOWN DEVICES in Device Manager? Post your findings and which version, 32 or 64 bit.

Could be a power issue.

The most common reasons for power issues are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.

Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.

The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.

If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.

does it have a cardbus slot then you can just push a wireless card into it or use a wireless dongle or tell hp you want a replacement

If you go to this website, there is a XP and Vista Drivers. Vista driver should work with Win7

Choose  vista OS and download wifi drivers

1>> Shut down the computer and then while restarting the computer keep tapping on F10
As you get to the BIOS screen press F9 and then Press F10 to save and exit out of BIOS.
2>>Uninstall the driver from the Device Manager (in control panel) and restart the computer, To install the driver again use the Recovery Manager

ok it could be ur video card thats stoped or maybe ur psu(power supply unit) isnt supplying enough power to it. hope this helped :)

check the add hardware app to see if the computer recognizes it , if not you'll have to locate and download a driver for the internal router.

Most of the time this is just a driver glitch. Uninstall the wireless drivers from the devica manager, then reboot. The machine will find the wireless and reinstall the drivers automatically. Get back to me with the results, if it doesn't work we'll try something else.

your pc will not recognise your wireless,bloothtooth,or sd until you install the software and drivers for them.you can install all the drivers you need at the hp.com site .it just takes a while to navigate to ur model.down load wlan driver and software,dont need to restart system will detect install and detect available networks .
