This is a problem. Even USB gameport adaptors don't seem to work with the sidewinders. Shame cause that's a great stick.
Best bet would be a PCI soundacrd with gameport(that you can find drivers for) on XP, since vista and up don't support analog inputs.

Can't get null modem usb to 9 pin cable to transmit designs to machine.

First, to transmit to your machine using a USB to serial converter, it should have a FTDI chip. Second, you should be transmitting on Com 1 or 2 -- preferably Com1. You can change the port it transmits on in the Device Manager in computer properties on your computer. Third, check on your machine which port it's looking for -- they must match.

How can i setteled the front panal usb pin connect on the usb panal on motherboard gigabyte845 gvm-rz

There are 2 USB Ports for the Front Panel USB ie F_USB1 / F_USB2 beside the "PWR_LED". You can use either F_USB ports. Just plug in the USB cable pin accordingly in the Configuration below. Be sure the the negative & positve pins are correctly plug in or it might caused damage to you Mainboard. (Pins 9 &10 not used). For further reference you can download the manual @ Link

Pin No.- Configuration
1-Power 2-Power
3-USBDx- 4-USBDy-
5-USBDx+ 6-USBDy+
7-GND 8-GND
9-No pin 10-NC

Hope it helps.

Where is the printer port on my acer aspire 7551-2961?I did not get an user guide and am a lost senior citizen trying to communicate with my grandchild.MCV

Most printers now use the USB port instead of the older parallel ports that has several input/out pins. Some printers (new-out-of-the-box) do not come with the USB cable, therefore purchase one for your printer if it requires a USB cable. The computer should have more than one USB ports to plug into.

Trying to connect a USB to the serial port of a Bernina Sewing Machine (Bernina 170). Has been working for a couple of years and has stopped all of a sudden. Does not work on and XP PC, Vista or win 7....

The Dynex adapter does not have any numbers on it. It was the one that is only about a foot in length and has a square center piece that houses the conversion electronics. Standard 9 pin RS-232 male plug on one end and the standard USB plug on the other end. I purchased it within the last month at BestBuy here in Austin TX.

3.5'' internal memory card reader/writer installation problem

Your reader/writer is set up for use on 2 USB ports (hence the 9 pin connector), one port for the reader and one for the externak USB port. This has nothing to do with the port version. The long and short of it is you need a card with a matching internal header. NEVER break off a pin! Some of these headers have reversed connectons so you probably broke of one of the data pins and runed that header's ability. Typically the readers like you have come with several cables, so that they can match the headers you have available. Older motherboards and add on USB cards did not use standardized header configurations aas you seem to have found out. Your best bet at this point is contact the manufacturer of the reader and find out what brand of add on USB cards they recommend and go with that. AND AGAIN NEVER REMOVE ANY PINS FROM A HEADER !!!

Emachine t1840 wiring diagram power switch wire to mother board ?

Because there are so many different case and motherboard combinations sometimes it can be difficult following the instructions for connecting the front panel, USB header and audio header.

Below is a few generic guide that should stop some of the confusion with the labels on the wires.

***Please note this is a generic wiring guide and we can not guarantee it will work with every motherboard. Please check your motherboard manual first. Wiring the headers wrong can cause damage to the motherboard and case, this damage is not covered by the warranty***

another handy USB wiring guide can be found here http://www.directron.com/installusb.html

this maybe easier to follow

Plugging in a USB port.

You have an A side and B side, or 1 and 2. Starting from pin 1, usually has an arrow pointing to it, the wires should read as follows: 1= A/1 +5vac 2= B/2 +5vac
3= A/1 -D 4= B/2 -D
5= A/1 +D 6= B/2 +D
7= A/1 ground 8= B/2 ground
9= no pin 10= no connection
