Kenmore 103.9846860 I need a new thermostat (key #97, part # 231331) for an old kenmore oven. It appears that the oven is now obsolete. Is there any way to repair this oven without the exact part? Thank you!

Any oven thermostat will work. The problem may be that it wont fit in the same mounting hole. A bit of home engineering and resourcefulness will make it work. Remember to measure the temperature and recalibrate the dial after.

Where could I find older model thermostat replacement for Kenmore 2784218590 Model # Thermostat Part # 326542

You're going to be hard pressed to find that exact part. What I would do is start looking into replacing it with a universal thermostat. Here's one that I've used before that usually works with very little modification:

Give it a shot. What have you got to lose? It's cheaper than buying a new wall oven!

I have a Kenmore Elite double oven, model 790.48123801.(4 years old). My wife attempted to operate the self-cleaning feature and 29 seconds later an F90 error message appeared, the oven began to beep

Oven door latch error code. The oven door latched but the control board did not receive a signal that the door was latched.
The only time that the latch is used is during the cleaning cycle.

Please check that model number again. The one you posted comes up as a refrigerator. Look inside the oven door or the lower drawer.

Wall electric oven gets hotter than the tempature reading on the control dial

If this has a manual turn oven control (not electronic) you will have to replace the oven control thermostat.
First shut the power off to the oven at the main breaker. Remove the screws holding the front control panel in place. Some of the screws are located inside the oven and some are on top of the control panel. Tilt the control panel forward to access the oven thermostat. While holding the new thermostat in your hand transfer each wire the the corresponding numbers on the new thermostat. Unclip the oven sensor from inside the oven and feed it into the control panel area.Remove the screws holding the old thermostat to the control panel and discard old thermostat.
Insert new thermostat into the control panel and screw to panel.
Reinsert the thermostat sensor into the oven cavity and fasten to clips.
Re assemble control panel.
WARNING: make sure that no wires are touching when reassembling.
When everything is back together, turn power back on and test temperature.

New replacement thermostat needs calibrating on my Kenmore oven

There is no real way to calibrate the thermostat. Most ovens have the same problem. By lowering the setting slightly will help get a closer temperature. Sometimes similar thermostats are substituted and may not be exactly the same as the original that came with your oven. Hope my trying to answer your question was helpful, Thanks, Sea breeze
