The radio is getting power and the blue light around the the volume knob is staying on but the rest of the unit isn't powering on

I would try and check two different items. First, using a multimeter or test light ensure that there is correct voltage going to each of the sources and you have a good solid grounding source. Second is trying a reset to the unit.

Has the same problem. Note: There is a powerswitch on the subwoofer! Pust on the volume knob and the system switches on and off. Hope this helps anyone else.

"The blue light around my volume dial does not light

Try resetting the receiver (you will lose your setup). I recently reset my receiver and the blue light returned. It's possible that the Audacity setup turns off the blue light because the volume is now being "regulated" by the equalizer.

Volume control knob on radio turns volume up at all times

first of all if you live in a cold climate I never turn the radio on until the car warms up if you can remove the knob on the radio spray a light amount of WD 40 and then put the knob back on and turn it back and forth and if you have pop on your hand or water also dry your hands off before touching the radio the lights and the radio will last a lot longer also and also before leaving the car always remember to turn the radio off it will be alot easier on your battery as well

I HAVE A HARMON KARDON AVR 310 RECEIVER. I HAVE NOT USED IT IN ALMOST A YEAR BUT I REMEMBER IT BEING COMPLICATED TO USE. I WENT TO USE IT YESTERDAY, AND IT POWERS UP FINE, BUT WHEN YOU TRY TO PLAY...

Hi - You can download the manual by clicking the link underlined in blue below:

AVR 310

You're right this is a complicated beast to set up! I suggest you go through the manual & follow the setup guides there.

Possibly the unit has been muted via the remote control?

Volume knob problem

This is a problem with poor cold soldering at the bootom of the volume pot, what has to be done is slowly seperate the glued seem where both speaker halfs are "glued"LOl... yes glued together,...Use a small flat head screw driver of any sort and work the way around it and it will seperatel and then resolder the volume pots circuit board pins, then use ABS to glue it back together, dont foregt to get the blue LED power light indicator set right before pressing both sides together.... (^_^)

Light on volume

The problem is most likely in the unit. You could have a burned out lite or just a bad connection to the lite. You can take off the volume knob by just pulling on it and checking it out thier, then take the top cover off and follow the wire from the knob and check out the connections.
