Question about Kodak EasyShare DX4530 Digital Camera
I believe my wife some how managed to push the rechargeable Ni-MH Kodak KAA2HR 2100 MAh double battery pack in backwards. This may have blown a fuse inside the camera. When I place the camera into the EasyShare Dock II cradle, the 3 lights on the front of the cradle no longer light in sequence indicating the battery pack is charging. If I put the Lithium CRV3 pack in the camera, it seems to work OK but the Lithiums only make contact on the bottom of the battery compartment. Is there a fuse I could replace to use recharagables?
Inside the battery compartment, on the same side as the battery cover hinge, you will see a small white mechanism. As I understand it, this is a microswitch which recognises when rechargeable batterys are installed. I suspect this may have been damaged. If so, you will need a rock-steady hand and brilliant eyesight to repair it. Even dismantling the camera is a challenge.
