Question about Logitech diNovo Edge 9676850403 Keyboard

My "4" stopped working

One minute it was working and another minute it just stopped all together. Nothing spilled on my machine or keyboard (I don't even have liquids at my desk). I tried typing the number on the charger and still got nothing. Nothing is "stuck" as far as I can see because my keyboard is clean. Any advice? This has been by far my favorite keyboard and I hate having to use a temporary one.

The ornage switch denotes the multimedia hotkeys being activated. Turnig it off may have solved your problem.

Four keys in Belkin wireless keyboard are not working

If only specific keys are not working, something is obstructing those keys\' pickups which are located immediately beneath the keys. This is almost always caused by food debris or liquid spillage as dust doesn\'t provide particles big enough to cause issues.

If those four keys feel "funny" when being pressed, it\'s almost certainly a physical obstruction. If they feel "sticky" it\'s always a liquid spill. If you don\'t recall spilling anything over the keyboard, use a can of compressed air (found at office supply stores).

Turn the keyboard long side up, with the keys leaning slightly downward. Place the air nozzle close to the intersections of the keyboard, starting at one side and work your way to the other side, using short bursts of air. Repeat for every row of keys. Pay special attention to the four that do not currently work.

You\'ll probably see lots of junk fall out of the keyboard. That\'s good, if so--I would then retest the keyboard (no need to reboot the computer). That should fix it--if not, you may have to resort to pulling off the keys that don\'t work. The next possibility would be broken key hinges, but that\'s beyond the scope of this reply.

For liquids, cleaning is hit or miss. If left long enough, liquids will eat away at the circuits, or provide a short circuit and kill the component. Since only four keys are affected, I\'m really leaning towards food debris, but if you did spill a liquid, you can disassemble the keyboard and clean up any residue under and around the keys. Probably best to use rubbing alcohol and a q-tip for that--but if you\'re not comfortable taking stuff like this apart, it might be time for a new keyboard, or find a handy friend. Good luck!

My keyboard only works when it wants to, i thought it was a virus but my laptop is now virus free and my keyboard still does not work properly, sometimes does not work at all sometime the number two holds...

If you have a sticky key that you know of you may have a couple that you haven't noticed. The number 2 key sticking usually means something was spilled on it at one time.If nothing is spilled you will only see the keys at the sides act up and usually the longer or larger ones. These act up from not hitting them straight but at an angle.

The next time it does this try thumping the keyboard to jar stuck keys loose. The key may look ok but is stuck just enough to do this. You just need to flick a finger at the keyboard to knock them loose. You may have to do this a few times before it dislodges the offender. On a normal keyboard you flip it over and knock on the back like knocking on a door to do this. On a laptop you can't hit it as hard.

If the keyboard keeps doing this your option is to replace it. Depending on the make and model a new laptop keyboard is about $45-$75 and is installed in a few minutes.

Full glass of water spilled on my iTouch keyboard. Have tried a fan on it for over 24 hrs and still nothing. Can you help?

Unfortunately some things don't mix (like electronics and water). You can try to dry it out more, let it sit upside down. Make sure you take the batteries out if you haven't already. If that doesn't work you will most likely need to replace it.

I spilled milk on my keyboard and now the keys are all messed up when I type, and pressing any button tends to make my computer shut down or sleep. For example, pressing "R" results in...

Well if you spilled milk on it there is only one thing to do: take apart, wash, wait for it dry, and hope the best.
Find all the screws on the bottom (some might be under stickers or the rubber pads), unscrew them all, and take apart the case. Iside you should find a small panel and a double layered foilage thingy, with printed tracks on it. Remove the small panel and wash everything else with warm tap water. Dry it with a towel and wait for it to dry completely. Then put back together and try it out.
There's not much you can loose this way, if this doesn't work you'll have to buy a new keyboard anyway.
Good luck!

Out of nowhere my Emachines laptop keyboard has stopped working

Sounds like it's either the motherboard or you may need a new bezel.

Another solution that may be cheaper would be to reinstall the operating system. Or do a factory image recovery and see if it's a software issue. First check the device manager to see if there is an obvious driver issue. If not try reinstalling Windows 7.

If that doesn't work then replace the bezel.

If that doesn't work then replace the motherboard.

We spilled a soda on our sony vio it wont come it fried

Yes, fried and sticky :c)

Keyboard are relatively cheap; you can pick them up for around $10 however, in the meantime if you want to "try" and save that one you can try soaking it in hot water for about 10 minutes and then running water over it for about fifteen minutes. Let completely dry for 3 - 5 days. (Please make sure it's unplugged first!) This probably won't work but I have heard of it working on a very very rare occasion.

Keys: r, t, f, g, v, and b have stopped working. Previously they started working after about 30min, but now have stopped completely. I have cleanned the keyboard w/ compressed air and they still don't...

usually keyboards are pretty simple to clean once you take them apart.

There is a rubber (normally) surface with some black conductive poins under each key. un screw the keybard clean the contacts and put it all back together.

Note: be careful certain keyboards do not have a way of "holding" the keys in place once you take them apart. So if you arent in the mood of putting a big puzzle back together and losing 30 minutes rearranging keys (wheres that damn ~ go again?) be very careful as you pull it open.

Keyboard not responding

Solution. My wireles keyboard stopped working except for the F-Lock key, the Media key and the sleep key. It wasn't batteries, even though I tried, communication was there because the above keys were working. Remove the batteries from your keyboard and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Press the red connect button a few times and other various keys every few minutes during that time. This may be the whole "capacitor discharge" trick, but I tired that with someone elses instructions and my keyboard did not work after 2 minutes of key pressing. I think it just needed more time to clear out the secure settings. Good luck, I was about to trash this keyboard until I tried again
