Kirby g4 power will not ingage

There could be a few reasons. Try a different power outlet and check the cord and belt. Next there are two safety switches on the Kirby that need to be engaged for the vacuum to start. One is on the mini-emptor to make sure an outer bag is engaged, the second is on the front nozzle to make sure the nozzle or hose is attached. You can see pictures here.

My Kirby G4 won't turn on. Everything is engaged as I normally do it, nothing is wrong with my power outlet, changed my hepa bag to a brand new one...

It could be a few different things. First make sure the emptor tank on the side of the unit is pushed all the way closest to the unit. ck to see if light comes on (that will tell you if you have power to the unit.) if so It is an internal problem. Or it might be, what is called the power foot switch. It's kinda of like the brain for the kirby there are 3 saftey switches built into it. they must all be working at the same time for the unit to power. If need be take it to a vacuum repair shop one with free estimates. this way they can diog. the problem and give you a repair cost, if need be. Hope this helps.

My kirby g4 will not turn on. I have checked the fuse and flex, the switch sounds good. pleas advice

ensure the front housing is properly fitted and the bottom of the bag housing that attaches to the machine, if these are not located correctly the safety switches will not allow the vacuum to start.
Could also be the mains cable, any damage may not be visible on the outside.
Or the motor brushes may be worn out, you will need a professional repairer for this.

As long as it is Kirby belt - you should be fine. Make sure that the shaft is clean and that you do not vacuum something greasy or wet (grease or oil will lubricate the belt and shaft will loose the grip -heat up and burn). Make sure that brush roll spins freely.
I am assuming you know how to put the nozzle on properly (if you not sure - go here)

Good Luck

Vacuum goes on and off while vacuuming

Defiantly sounds like a loose wire, but double check cord ends to make sure they aren't touch when moved from side to side. If not, check inside and see if their are loose connectors to the motor or even a weak switch.

Kirby G4 plugged????

Take the bag off of the vacuum, remove the paper bag, clean out the bag tube then put back on. Make sure that the tube is broken, it is, replave it.
