Question about SanDisk Sansa E280 MP3 Player

Sandisk Sansa e280 8 GB MP3 Player

I bought this for my mom. She has only had if since the middle of September 2007. For the past 2 weeks, we have been unable to "boot it" I guess is the term. It turns on and the black screen with pop up with "Sandisk" in white and that is as far as we get. It will continue to re-boot over and over until we lock it with the hold button so it does the "keys locked, system shut down." What is going on? It's not even a month old! Please help :-) My poor mother is heart broken lol. I opened the back up and thought if I took out the battery it would do something, but nothing fixed.

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted. You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool. - Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds) - Slide the hold switch into "hold" position. - Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer. Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted. Best of Luck.

I bought the Model KB2300U Wired keyboard and hooked it up to my computer 2 weeks ago. I just discovered that my computer still thinks I have the MS wireless keyboard and mouse combo. I have a Compaq...

Hi, the cheap fvcks at Gear Head were fvcking their moms' old withered wh)re cvnts (after applying turkey grease to the raspy withered wrinkled cvnts) while they were designing this fvcking excuse of a keyboard

When you are touch typing, you will hit the "shut down/restart" button more than once. Who the fvck places the shut down button right below the delete button? Yes. Only brain dead fvcks who lost their v1rg1nity to their moms.

ANd guess what. if you are using this as a cheap external keyboard for a laptop, once the laptop is turned off, the start button on this piece of sh1t keyboard won't work, of course, because the computer has to be first turned on to recognize this cheap piece of sh1t.

So, pay 5 dollars more and buy a logitec or a generic office depot brand keyboard which is actually 2 dollars less.

I am returning this piece of sh1t and I hope some Nigerians raid these brain dead m0therfvckers' homes and skullfvkc their ***** moms in front of them and decapitate them

SR1010V wont power up

Have you already tried pulling the AC plug for an hour or two? Power failures may leave some bits and pieces of software kind of laying around and interfering with the boot sequence.
Check to see if the fan is turning (and staying) on when you plug back in and try to power up. If not, then a replacement supply may be due.
I'm pasting a note I just pasted elsewhere about this.

"Since there have been some changes in available outputs and connectors even on ATX supplies, make sure you compare pictures of the supply to your own but in any case, I would recommend using a replacment rated at 350W as this will run more conservatively and not be as stressed as the 250 you now have. It won't cost a lot more and will not consume any more power but the critical components will run cooler.
Not as a recommendation, just a current example on eBay:|39:1|66:2|65:12|240:1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
The last couple I bought were $5 each with $7 shipping charge from a US source."

Unable to take pictures

I had the same problem, I returned it to where I bought it and they replaced the camera with a new one, however it was only 5 weeks old when this happened.
