My big screen tv has device button on it as well as the controller but when i try to press device to chng it to the dvd player after a few seconds of pressing device the tv shuts off and the timmer light blinks. Then i have to shut down all power to tv for 5 minutes then turn on and wait for 1 minute for the timer light to stop blinking before i can turn tv back on.
Press the "On" button on the remote control to turn on the DVD player.
Press the "Setup" button on the remote control.
Press the following buttons in this precise order: 9210.
Highlight the text field in the window that appears. Press "0" on the remote control to change the region code from one-region specific (the country the DVD player is sold in) to all regions so that any disc can be inserted and played.
Press the "Setup" button. Press the "On" button on the remote control to turn off the DVD player.
Press the "On" button on the remote control. Press the "Open/Close" button to eject the disc tray.
Press "Clear," "1," "4," "7," "0," "Clear" on the remote control. Press up on the remote control's directional pad until you see "1224" on the screen.
Press "2," "3" and the "Enter" button. Press up on the remote control's directional pad until you see "1401" on the screen.
Press "0," "0" and the "Enter" button. Press the "Return" button. Press the "Clear" button twice. The DVD player is no longer locked into the single region that it was designed for (being the country it was sold in) and is now instead open to all regions and so able to access any disc.
Press the "Return" button. Press the "Open/Close" button. Press the "On" button to turn the DVD player off.
Press the "On" button on the remote control. Press the "Open/Close" button to eject the disc tray. Press "Clear," "1," "4," "7," "0," "Clear" on the remote control.
Press up on the remote control's directional pad until you see "1224" on the screen.
Press "2," "3" and the "Enter" button. Press up on the remote control's directional pad until you see "1401" on the screen.
Press "0," "0" and the "Enter" button. Press the "Return" button. Press the "Clear" button twice.
Press the "Return" button. The region code of the DVD player is now changed from being only for the country it was designated for and instead for all regions. Press the "Open/Close" button. Press the "On" button to turn the DVD player off.

4. Use the Manufacturer's Codes to locate the type of device and brand name and
then enter the first four-digit code for your device. If performed correctly,
the LED will blink twice.
5. Aim the remote control at the device and press POWER once. The device
should turn off. If it does not, repeat steps 2 to 5, trying each code for your
