Denon Home theatre System

We are not able to play the television through the Denon Sound System. DVDs are excellent, Cd's great, but the telly uses it's own speakers. Is it possible to play the telly through the Denon sound system?

If TV has AUDIO OUT and you hook up AUDIO OUT from TV to AUDIO IN on your system, it should play.

Trying to get the theatre to play all my gaming systems

then you have probably connected all wires from game system to your TV. what you need is, as I did in my case with a PS3, a optical wire from your game system to your samsung home theatre system. and also remeber to configure your game system to direct sound through the proper channel.

Ghosting of picture from a Panasonic home cinema system

There must be a fault in the screening of the internal wiring to the scart outlet in the home theatre system. I simply changed the way the player was connected to the TV and the interference disappeared:-

1.) I used the RCA video outlet instead of the scart lead. Picture quality was not compromised. FYI the Panasonic Plasma TV I have has only RGB video input sockets at the back, so I used a scart to RCA adaptor to overcome this problem of connecting old technology to new.

2.) The surround sound when playing DVDs is generated directly from the home theatre system so there was no need to connect the audio from the home theatre system to the TV

3.) I used a pair of RCA leads to connect the "audio out" from the TV to the "audio in"on the home theatre system to provide the option of TV sound through the home theatre system.

Unable to get play dvd or get picture on DVD channell on tv

If the player is doing that for all DVDs but playing CDs properly, the player has gone bad due to either the laser and lens being out of whack or the DVD drive just doesn't recognise DVDs anymore and needs repaired or replaced.

Sorry. Best of luck.

I hooked up a htz510 home theatre system to my tv and it sounds great when I play dvds. However, in pure tv mode, my tv plays through the tv speakers instead of the home theatre speakers. How do I fix...

if you use cable and have a cable box or sat. and have a box you need to get an optical audio cable and hook them between the to boxes. just did this with mine today

Tv sound on home theater kit

Hi Every one.

Had same problem with my HDMI connection on my sony bravia and sony theatre system, resolved by conecting a scart lead from the theatre system to one of the free scart sockets on the back of the TV, leave your HDMI connection in place as the DVD signal comes from this,

hope this helps!
