I want to install it in my coputer but dont I dont have a disk, what can I do?

There is no need to install any software before/after connecting the LiteOn device,
because Windows XP/Vista/7 already contain the necessary device-drivers.

So, just connect it, and restart Windows, and it will be ready-to-use.

Windows Media Player can be used to play DVD-movies,
and Windows has built-in software to write onto CD-recordable disks.

Boot DVD

you dont need to slipstream the disc with SP 2 or SP 3 but if you want to you can following this guide :

Guide on how to slipstream windows xp with a service pack of your choice

If you get stuck let me know

But basically you create 2 folders on your C drive or on your desktop call one xp disc and the other one service pack

copy everything from the xp disc into the xp disc folder and then download and install iso buster ( download link )

And extract the img file as per the guide and then follow the burning instructions with regards to adding the img file using nero or a burning application. If you dont have nero and want to know how to use the img to make it bootable post back with what burning software you have and what version it is and I will find and post back with a relevant guide

Hp 1040i xp problem

I'm not sure if this will help you but read this link I'm sending. I went round and round with 3 different highend motherboards and processors and kept getting error after error, everything I read in forums, the tech guys, everybody seemed to go to my memory as the problem but low and behold I wasn't believing them and my research paid off. Maybe the intel/hp problems I was having are related to yours. The acceleration software maybe. I dont know but you might want to give it go. I was a little shocked that my brand new dvd writer intel conflict would cause the blue screen of death. sorry so long but if this helps anyone I'll be glad. Thanks, great days to all, Dave
