You could try calling Alba 0208 7873111

They should be able to give you a universal reset code. Before you do search

http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/ forums/  "Alba 113" across all forums. The
posts there will tell you more about your player.

You may be able to get updated firmware from Alba at the same time, but try
to find out what effect it may have before you use it. Some updated firmware
removes functions as well as making improvements.

Just remembered...the Datasafe disks that work with this player MAY be the
Datasafe Branded (BLUE DYE) ones available from SVP www.blankdiscshop.co.uk
. This is just guesswork based on what I've come across. Check it out on the
forum.
