Bloomfield coffee maker overflows, even with plain filter

Was working fine but started overflowing around the coffee -filter holder. Tried without coffee using new filter, still overflows, water drips too slowly into decanter. Coffee holder is clean. Tried a different brand of filter, same issue.

The outlet of the cone filter holder is clogged. Normally its just a hole you can clean out but some units have a valve that is pushed up/open by your coffee pot. That valve may be clogged or if you changed the coffee pot it may not be opening due to the different pot. Clean valve or just remove it so the coffee will run into coffee pot.

The wire rack was missing in the bottom of the coffee holder where the paper filter rests. When this rack was replaced, coffee maker worked as designed.

Filter overflows

Many times the coffee grind clogs the filter and spout. I have had this problem before, and solved it this way. Take a filter and put your measured amount of coffee in side. Fold all sides over to make a small packet. Place another filter in the coffee holder, and place the packet with folded sides underneath in the holder.

This has worked every time for me.

Coffee maker overflows

Who owns the brewer. Usually the OCS supply does the maintenance. Office Coffee Systems sell and service the brewers...the service if for free. Does it have a label on the side or anywhere. If it is overflowing, is it out of the brew basket in to the pot?...There are a couple reasons for that. Is it a water line model?. If it is a pour over, it is human error. If it is a water line model it is probably a leaky inlet water valve. http://www.pamasco.com/bloomfieldsolenoidvalvesandrelatedparts.aspx

Overflow in basket

Steven, I think it`s not the filter or the coffee just that more water is flowing into the basket then it can process. I would try lesser quantity of water first to see if it overflows. Try first with filter only and then with coffee. And before you do all that, your machine should be under warranty and may be returnable to the store. Do that and save the trouble of fixing it.

COFFEE MACHINE KEEPS FIL;LING UP AND OVERFLOWS. tHIS IS A BUNNOMATIC MODEL STPF-15

Dunkin Donuts decaf coffee clogs the filter as the water fills the basket causing the basket to overflow. The coffee is ground too fine. Swtich brands or use a second filter to cover the coffee grounds to keep them from floating and clogging the filter.

My coffee filter for my Keurig, seems to overflow. Making coffee is fine with the pods, but not the filter with which you can use your own coffee... I have tried different types of grinds (ex. fine,...

I have had this same problem when all of some of the coffee is ground too fine. It needs to be the correct particle size and if it is too fine, it will clog the screen and either overflow or not flow at all. Look at the ground coffee you use and check to see if it is uniform size or there are a lot of very fine grounds mixed with the coarser sizing. Try asking a coffee shop to grind you some coffee specifically for your Keurig cassettes. Most pre-grounds drip coffees are too coarse and many grinders in the stores where you grind your own whole beans do not produce a uniform size. I have an OEM Keurig cassettee and two generic cassettes and the screens have different pore sizes, with the Keurig being finer.

Broken Krups FMF5-14 Stainless Steel 10-Cup Coffee Maker?

My Krups was not working after I accidentally forgot to place the black plastic lid on the coffee carafe BEFORE starting to brew a new batch of coffee. The coffee will not drip into the carafe without the lid
in place. Because the lid is hidden when placed in the coffee maker, it's easy to forget! The coffee all backed up in the filter area and overflowed. The display got wet. Not good.....

If your buttons and or display is not working ( mine got wet with coffee) simply flip the coffee maker over. Unscrew the bottom. expose the display circuit board carefully, DRY it with a HAIR DRYER and put the unit back together! Presto! Mine is working again.

If you need a new circuit board, you can get one for $35 from Appliances.com I found. They also have the Duo filter and extra parts cheaper than the Krups website.
