Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

Divx 6.6 I am so frustrated, I have been trying to get some help from the divx site, but no reply. I download to BitComet, move to divx to burn to disc. Have a Philips dvd recorder combo. I have had no problems until past couple weeks. Takes longer to burn and especially to finalize. Then get prompt with dvd player that it does not recognize the format. I have wasted many disc trying to figure out the problem. Bugs with this version of divx? Thanks.

If it used to work then suspect a dirty lens in the burner drive.

Replys no disc while operating

- Disc is not burned in the ISO 9660 Joliet format.
- The movie encoded using some incompatible DivX settings. Philips DVD players does not play movies encoded in 720p or 1080p HD format.
- There should be some dust accumulated over the laser pickup. Use a CD lens cleaner.
- Rarely, the transport mechanism could be facing some fault moving the laser head to-fro. This requires opening the box and taking a peek inside.

I want to burn a dvd from movies on the internet

Whatever website you're downloading from, make sure that you have bitcomet and windows media player. Download the movie from the internet (using bitcomet) and play it in windows media player. When you enter the disk burn it using either Windows Media Player or BitComet (please check I am unsure) and burn it. If that doesn't work --- contact Dell/IBM/Microsoft

I have the new all in one emachine cant figure out how to burn a copy of a dvd... could you please guide me through? do I need neo burn?

You can use multiple programs. I for instance use a combination of nero 8 from nero.com. or from www.download.com I use zc divx to dvd creator, to burn .avi (internet files) to dvd format. the process is described in detail in the programs and on the websites.

I have wasted 4 hours with 1 of your so called (experts) i want answers not excuses

Don't know if I can help or not, but this what I do.
I've downloaded the DIVx player and converter software (free) to my computer. I can download mpeg, avi movies, etc, and convert them to DIVx format if I need to. The DIVx player has a 'burn' feature that is fast and burns them in a DIVx format. My old DVD Recorder will not play DIVx format but my 'cheap' Phillips will. I just keep it hooked up to my old DVD recorder through the front RCA input jacks. When I want to play a DIVx movie and watch it on the TV, I use the cheap Phillips player. I have to change the input on my old DVD Recorder to 'Front Input. I usually record the movie on a DVD R in my DVD Recorder while I'm watching it if I want to keep a copy to play later on the DVD Recorder. Most of the time, I burn the movies to RW DVD and erase them later.

I don't remember the web site for the DIVx players and converters, but you should be able to find it with a search.

Hope this helps.

Yes you can. Try downloading it through a TORRENT. Use BITCOMET or UTORRENT to be able to download TORRENT files.

www.bitcomet.com/

www.utorrent.com/

If you still can't find it, contact InfinityWard to and let them know you bought the game, but broke DISK one. They might be able to replace it.
