How do I find out the firmware version on my Nokia 5610? Is there a update available and where can I find it?

Its not possible to do via internet - You need to have a UFS based flashing box and the relevant software to do the flashing,

There is a new firmware for Nokia 5610. Depending on your network. Yours might pickup the following version - V6.60, V7.12 and V8.30.

Use factory reset (remember to backup your data) which u can find under settings if this does not work then i recommend you to update your phone's firmware version.Steps for updating firmware version is as follows:

To connect your phone to a PC:

Fully charged, compatible Nokia phone
Compatible Nokia USB connection cable
Compatible USB port on your PC

Step 2/2: Back-up data

Personal data such as contacts, photos and messages stored in the phone memory will be deleted during phone software update. It is strongly recommended that you backup this data to your memory card before updating your phone software.

To backup to your memory card:
select Tools > Memory from the main menu
select Options > Backup phone mem.

To restore info to phone memory:
select Tools > Memory from the main menu
select Options > Restore from card

This is a well known bug of Nokia 5320.Nokia have resolved this issue.This bug will not allow you to install .jar files mainly..But it will allow
.sis files which have correct certification.


Nokia 5320 has 3.0 to 4.0+ firmware is available in the market.
You have to press +#0000# and check the firmware version
Even though your firmware is of 4.0+ try to upgrade it again.Because of the corruption in the phone...

Steps how to upgrade it.
1)Connect Nokia with USB cable provided during the time of purchase of the phone.
2)Install Nokia PC suite that is also given during the purchase of the phone in a CD.PC suite can be downloaded in the internet in nokia official website for free.
3)Open Nokia Software Updater through PC Suite interface.
4)Your internet should be On.Nokia updater will download it automatically and upgrade your phone version.
5)Follow the step by step instruction of Nokia Software Updater.

Note:Do not disconnect the phone while its updating....

Dear u can find the latest firmware update available for ur phone at the nokia.com/softwareupdate.You can update if any update is available via NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER.

The latest firmware is not available for ALL nokia 5800 phones. It depends on your Product code. By doing this Nokia can control which features make it to our handsets by request of mobile phone operators. Orange for example might not want the Nokia music store on the phones.

The generic product code for the UK is 0552438 (this generic code means it not assigned to a network and therefor will receive all the available updates without restrictions set by the networks)

Think your firmware update failed and corrupted ur firmware, now u should do hard firware update by taking it to nearest service cebter

u cannot do tht becoZ u have to connect via data cable for uodating. go to nokia care may br they have sum solution for u
