Kenmore 48102 Front-Loading Washer

The last load didn't drain properly but was completed (water & suds still in washer). Now the washer will not start up again no matter what setting we use. All lights will blink on & off and it will beep continuously. After reading some of the previous posts on here I did realize that our drain hose was pushed farther than the 4-6 inches recommended. Any advice appreciated!

Try this to fix slow or no drain. Unplug machine, Remove water lines and drain hose from wall. Position machine so you can lay it on its back. Look through the cut out in bottom of machine and spot the 3 1/2" silver hose clamp attached to the drum holder using a Philips screwdriver. Detach the 3 1/2" rubber drain manifold from the drum holder but leave the smaller hose attached to flexible rubber manifold. (note there is a mounting clip that holds this manifold to the drum holder and also needs to be disconnected) Now feel for the hard plastic cup filter inside the rubber manifold. It should be near the pump end. Slowly work the filter completely out of the rubber manifold. Remove all debris and trash but save the coins. I found $2.75 and a soft plastic card in my filter. Put it all back together. This solved drain, filling, and cycle problems. I think the machine always saw the retained water and messed up the programing

I have had the same problem. I unplug the washer for a couple of hours and then run the rinse/spin cycle and it takes care of the problem. I've had my machine for 2 1/2 years and this problem started exactly after the first year ended. The first time it happened, I called for repair but before the repair guys came I tried this and so far it has worked. It happens about every few months.iIt's a pain but so far no repair guy bill, yet.

Water will not drain out of front Load Kenmore 44072

Kenmore front loading washing machines will give you years of service. Sometimes things do go wrong, especially after the warranty runs out. Troubleshooting a Kenmore front loading washing machine could save you a lot of money on a repair bill. Before you call a service technician to fix your machine, attempt to resolve the issue through simple fixes first.
Washer Code Messages Your Kenmore front loading washing machine has an LED display that will give you error codes.
Will Not Spin If your washing machine does not spin, check to make sure the door has latched completely. Also remember that if your machine is in the SUD cycle it will not spin until it has eliminated the suds.
Washer Is Noisy
  • If the washer is making noise or vibrating, check to make sure it is still level. If it is out of level you can change this by adjusting the feet. Metal belt buckles and buttons in your laundry could be causing the noise as well.
  • Door Stays Locked After Cycle
  • At the end of the wash cycle, the lock will disengage after about 30 seconds. If it does not, it may be because the machine still detects that the water has not completely drained. Just select "Drain" and "Spin" and let the washer go through the cycle. Your door should unlock.

Sud and then f35 code comes on where can I find a picture of where parts are located on washer

Hello,
to get picture of where the parts are go to searspartsdirect.com and enter your exacy model#

Now then the suds means basically that the washer didn't fully drain and the F35 means that water wasn;t detected entering the washer at the start of a new load...if all the water disnt drain it wont fill so what the biggest problem when that happpens and it wont drain is a blockage in the drain pump filter..here is what you do to check the filter screen for blockage is;oldtech2332_34.jpgoldtech2332_35.jpgunscew a little, use towels/tupperware tubs to drain ALL water..once all water out unscwer completly and check for blockage

Keep getting error code sd or 5d and sometimes a F error on my HE 2plus washer. Is there an inexpensive solution to the problem or should we be shopping for a new washer?

Hi

The Sd or 5d indicates that excessive suds are detected by the washer during the drain or spin phases of the cycle. The washer will stop and fill with 4 liters of water and then wait for 5 minutes to allow the suds to dissipate before continuing. If the suds cannot be reduced or eliminated so that the washer cycle can continue, it may stop and display the F21 (long drain) fault code. After the suds dissipate, you can normally drain the washer and spin out the clothes using a RINSE/DRAIN & SPIN cycle. Make sure that you are using HE (High Efficiency) detergent in the appropriate amounts to prevent excessive suds in the washer. This should prevent the washer from going into this routine.

And if you still face the same error then probably there is something(coins, socks, dirt, debris, etc) stuck inside the drain filter of your washer. You'll need to check the drain filter. To access the drain filter. To check the drain pump follow these steps:
  1. Unplug the washer to completely disconnect electrical power.
  2. Remove the bottom front service panel as shown in the first image below.
Also check your drain hose for a kink or clog. Check the washer house drain for a clog or restriction. Test the washer to see if it will drain properly.

Kenmore Elite Washer

Try this first.

Washer won't drain or spin
Is the drain hose clogged, or the end of the drain hose
more than 96" (2.4
m) above the floor?
Is your voltage low?
Check electrical source or call electrician. Do not use an
extension cord.
Is the "SUD" routine active?
Cycle will complete once extra suds are removed.
Is the load balanced?
A single or bulky item may cause imbalance. Add more items
or redistribute the load.

GE Front Loading Washing Machine seems to be holding water....

The high speed spin of a front load washer should normally do a good job of getting squeezing out the water but if there is an oversudsing condition that makes it hard for the drain pump to operate then the suds and water will just stay there. First make sure there is no actual clog in the drain line then run a load with no soap or detergent and see what happens. It's always better to use a low suds detergent with this type of machine
