Problem for Panasonic CW-1406BU Air Conditioner

Motor hums after unit turned off

A low motor hum continues after I turn off the a/c unit via its remote. All the unit lights shut off, and the full-on sounds stop, but there's a low humming sound that continues for a long time until I unplug the unit from the wall. Have had the unit for 3 years and it is just starting to do this. Is something wrong?

- Thanks for your quick response. I hope that's it, tho it sounds like more than a vibration. It sounds like the unit doesn't shut off completely. If it is a transformer vibrating, does that mean I need to repair the unit?
