Problem for LG (gce-8525bb) CD-RW Burner

CD-RW Problem

My CD-rw(LG GCE-8525B) was working properly. But By mistake the power supply was connected in wrong way(i.e inversely inserted). Since then it is not working at all. No repair centre are able to solve problem. I'm Student of BE CE. Please help me solve problem.

I'm going to try to figure out what the ramifications of doing this are...in the meantime I'm just curious. How in the name of all that is holy did you manage to get the connector in there inverted? I have a hard enough time getting them in there correctly sometimes! :)

btw, was this a molex conncetor or SATA?
