My 6 year old had 2 remotes and was pushing everything. Now my TV is stuck on Discovery Channel with no sound...there is a "1" in each of the four corners and 054-0.13 on the left side of the screen near top and 04 near bottom on the left side of screen as well.
Doesn't respond to manual or remote(s).

METHOD" presse TV1 and SET button light on remote is steady enter code ...light goes out.. PRESS SET again and try. Keep trying unhtil unit can be turned on or off, then you know you have the right code. Write it on the back of the TV incase it drops out which can happen.
Turn the volume down to 0 then change to a blocked channel. (where it asks
for v-chip password) Next, on the TV, not from the remote, hold the
volume down button, and hold the '0' key on the remote for between 2-10
seconds... the screen should unlock and you should have no V-Chip
restrictions. This works on some TVs, if not most.
well there could be two things going on here that i can think of, one the scart lead between the dvd and the tv is not i properly vica versa for the dvd player, the other thing is the button which changes the av channels could have been pushed so simply push the button while the dvd os on and find the av channel, the button looks like an arrow going right hope it helps.
some tv's default to channel 2 after being unplugged.since it is a older tv ,the buttons on the remote and the tv maybe worn down.on the tv itself try pushing the buttons down a liitle harder. if you have aux or line in/video inputs, scroll down on the channel button to log into a aux channel for the dvd player.as for the remote try buying a cheap universal remote to see if that works.
You probably should replace the button matrix. They are usually less than $20. You do have to take off the back of the set ( makes sure its unplugged)
It's also possible that the switch has collapsed, whoch can be replaced but needs some soldering skill.
Google RCA parts or try herman electronics. You will need your model number to get the correct parts.
