The wireless connection problems for blackberry pearl

Hey, My wireless connection keeps automatically turning itself off after just a few seconds. I go back to the manage connection menu, and check the box that says Mobile network. the little button then turns green indicating i am connected. i exit out of there and attempt to make a call or check an email and the signal then disappears. i go back to the connection menu and it says that the wireless connection is turned off even though i just turned it on. this has become very frustrating. i have never had this problem before and can't understand what precipitated it. Any ideas on what to do? thanks so much

I had the exact same issue with my Pearl. Tried removing the battery, re-activating the phone, etc., with no luck, Finally called Verizon and they sent me a new BB. Now I'm just struggling to get my PC to recognize the new BB!

I can't think what may have cause it. I would suggest resetting the phone by turning the handset off removing the battery. Leave for 1 minute and re-insert and turn device on.

Go to networks and allow the device to search networks automatically and turn data service on.

Let me know how you get on.

SOURCE: antenna automatic shut off problems for blackberry pearl

I had this problem a few times, but only when I let the battery drop so low that the connection turned itself off to save what little life the battery had. Once that happens I just had to wait for the battery to charge back up so the connection could reestablish itself. If this is the case, just plug it in and give it time.

I cant manually activate my blackberry pearl I went to options, mobile network but all it says is roaming.

See if this works....

-Press menu key
-Click OPTIONS
-Select Mobile Network
-Click on "START PROVISIONING"

It should give you a message saying: PROVISIONING COMPLETED SUCCESFULLY.

You wont need a MSL code if you do it this way.

My 8120 pearl, keeps freezing, so far I've exchanged it several times, and it seems like they all have the same problem. When I start playing brick breaker, after a few games (week, or 2) the game gets...

please try doing the following, turn off the sounds, turn off the wireless transceiver while playing, ensure no other applications are running in the background while playing, perform a hard reset on the smart phone.

Radio keeps shutting off

When there is no signal around ur blackberry will shut off the radio instead of constantly searching for one which really kills battery power just make sure you arent in a real signal dead area and you should be fine to turn it back on just go to manage connections and click it back on,if this is not the problem then there might be some problem with ur phone.

Blackberry Pearl keeps turning mobile connection off.

There might be some issue with the BlackBerry Device Software associated with the BlackBerry smartphone so Upgrade the BlackBerry smartphone with a newer version of BlackBerry Device Software and make sure that you have taken a backup before upgrading.
