YOU NEED TO CALL THEM BACK OUT ASAP. If it is something that they did they are responsible for all damages. DO NOT touch anything such as trying to fix it yourself at this time. They can consider it to be tampered with and there would be NO TELLING if it was a service/install error or customer tamper. Call them first. If anything shut the water off using the shut off valve and shut down the power to it. It could be something as simple as a hose that got jiggled around when the tech was replacing that part.

Leaking around heating element posts that protrude through dishwasher body

Some dishwashers like your model number are under recall for a potential fire hazard due to water leaking through the heating element posts onto the wiring.
Your serial number must begin with the 2 letters listed . Below is the list of recall serial numbers: FL, GL, HL, LL, ML, VL, ZL, AM, DM, FM, GM, HM, LM, MM, RM, SM, TM, VM, ZM, AR, DR, FR, GR
Call the phone # below or check out GE recall website. What GE does is replace the element and gaskets, unless there is burnt or arcing visible on the wires, they may replace the dishwasher.

www.geappliances.com/products/recall
GE has determined that an electrical failure in the dishwasher's heating element can pose a fire hazard. GE will provide a free repair to all consumers with units affected by the recall. We ask that you not use your dishwasher until it is repaired and to disconnect the electric supply by shutting off the fuse or circuit breaker controlling it and inform all users of the dishwasher about the risk of fire.
Consumers who instead wish to replace their dishwasher with a new model can receive a rebate towards the purchase of certain new GE and Profile brand dishwashers. Consumers can use a rebate of $75 for the purchase of certain GE front-control plastic tub dishwashers, or a GE rebate of $100 for the purchase of certain GE front-control stainless tub dishwashers or GE Profile top control dishwashers. See the rebate form for eligible models.
GE is aware of 15 reports of dishwasher heating element failures, seven of which resulted in fire and smoke damage beyond the unit. No injuries have been reported.
The model and serial numbers are important, as not all dishwashers are included in the recall. Look at the inside on the front left side of the dishwasher tub to find the model and serial number.
This recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, which will also monitor the effectiveness of the recall program.
Recall Hotline
866-918-8760
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET.
Before calling, have the model and serial numbers on hand.

Check the levelness of the dishwash. Is it level.
Check the seal around the contact surface of the door and the washer opening. Are there any cuts or gaps?

The rinse aid reservoir seems to be gummed up and will not fill all the way is there a way to clean it out?

The short answer... NO. But, be careful... There are a lot of older Maytag dishwashers that were recalled due to rinse aid dispenser leaks causing a fire hazzard. Check here: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml07/07094.html

If your unit is covered under the recall the entire inner door will be replaced and you won't have to worry about cleaning the dispenser.

Dishwasher leaks, is there a recall on this model,mdb7100awb

if the dishwasher is leaking water there is no recall on that. the recall i believe you are talking about would be for the rinse aide leaking in the door. you should contact maytag to see about getting the new kit installed on your dishwasher and you may get your leak fixed for free since the kit comes with the door seal.
You can contact maytag at (800) 675-0535 do not wait and do not use the dishwasher. you will need the model number and serial number off your machine when you call. it is located near the door seal on the tub.

Leaking dishwasher

hi there,
dishwasher leaking might be due to either of these causes, check these:

Main tub seal
Note… If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath the center bottom
of the dishwasher, the following instructions probably apply to you.
But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn't serviceable--you need to replace the
entire pump and motor assembly.

The main tub seal is beneath the drain impeller. It prevents the water in the dishwasher from
leaking out near the shaft of the motor. To get to the seal, which is inside the dishwasher,
remove the:

* Lower rack
*Spray arm
* Spray arm support
* Wash/drain impellers

Then try the seal out of its housing and replace it.

Door gasket or seal
Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly.
You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks. But, the water-supply line from the house and the
rubber tube leading from the valve to the inside of the dishwasher may leak. Tighten
or repair/replace these as necessary.

The water-inlet valve could mechanically stick open. When that happens, the water continues
to flow into the dishwasher, which then floods your kitchen. Turn off the water supply to the
dishwasher, and replace the valve.

Hoses
Behind the lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastic hoses. If the
leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If that doesn't work, replace the hose.

Dishwasher Non functioning

Disconnect power immediately! Several brands of dishwashers have had safety recalls over the past few years with bad switches or the rinse aid liquid leaking inside doors or inner insulation reacting with the wirering's insulation, in some cases causing fires. If you google dishwasher recall you will see GE, Maytag, Whirlpool/ Kenmore...... When you search or enter model numbers make sure you use complete model and serial numbers. If you leave off a letter or get one wrong the sites might tell you your model is not involved in the recall. I wish I was on my work computer now,... I'd include some photos of dishwashers which I serviced which did burn. Please leave a comment with your model and serial number.

We have a service contract with Broward Factory Service. My GE dishwaher went out with eater in it, no power. Checked the panel box flipped switch, nothing. The service tech. said the rinse aid cup leaked...

I was trying to find out if the dishwasher was on a recall list, and I did by calling GE direct. It was not, so the service I have is replacing the rinse aid box.
Thank you,

Need to reset overflow switch

The Bosch dishwasher has a logic system for the event of a leak. there is a float in the pan under the dishwasher. If any debris gets under the float and it cannot return to normal position. The dishwasher will not fill and only drain. The solution is to take off the toe kick plate and look with a flashlight on the left side. There is a depression and a styrofoam float, a narrow vacuum can be used to vacuum any debris from under the float. If there is no debris then the switch is stuck and requires replacement about $30.00 for the part but requires removal and partial disassembly of the dishwasher. I bet the problem is debris under the float. I hope this helps.
