Re: cold water wash
On machines that do not have a variable setting for heat there often isn't a cold wash option, other than pressing the economy button, this does not always give you a cold wash, depend on the make or model
without specifying the actual make and model and someone having the original manual its a case of trial end error
sometime a search on the internet on the manufacturers web site can offer you a free manual download

Hi Elllie602 (!) from retired Englishman in SW France,
2 weeks old? Under guarantee/warantee? Get in touch with the vendor/shop!!!
Even if it takes only cold water for the warm wash (which is a bit daft- normally washers mix the hot and cold accordingly) and heats it, that is not how most hot n' cold washers work.
If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!
Hello Friend, I think your machine will work properly if you add a water line splitter. You would connect to the single cold water tap and on the other end you would have two water hoses . Connect one hose to the cold water inlet of your washer and then connect the other hose to the hot water inlet. You can get these at Home Depot. Happy to help, Tim.
There's no cold water
Some washing machines allow cold water to enter only during certain cycles. Others intermittently allow hot and cold to enter, to temper the temperature of the water. Consult your owner's manual if you are unsure about whether the machine is acting abnormally.
If you're sure the machine is not working the way it used to--or should--check the following.
Is the cold water turned on? If not, turn it on.
Is the washer getting hot water but no cold water? If so, check to see if the control panel settings are correct.
Is there cold water coming through the proper hose? If not, check to see if the screen inside the water-inlet valve is clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If it's clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you need to replace the valve. if this helps please vote me a fix ya
if it doesn't empty check the pump for blockages or just not working electrically, or check cold water supply to machine, or the cold water solenoid, this may also be faulty
hope you can find what you need starting from the above, if i have helped please rate me
