I can;t tell if thereis an issue with the ac adapter or if the screen itself is toast. When plugged in and connected to my laptop, the power icon flashes green but the screen is co,mpletely black. I tried shining a flashlight at the screen to see if there was any dim picture, but it appears to be completely black. Any ideas?

Hi, there,
It's seems your Inverter or AC Adapter is burnt out. Check if your AC Adapter is still on green light. If no green light, then you'll need replace a new one. If AC Adapter it OK, then you'll need a new Inverter. Drop me a note, I'll give you a good price. Thanks
