Water comes out bottom when brewing

Out of nowhere, the Gaggia titanium has started pouring water out the bottom when rinsing or brewing. No blocks in or around the brew unit.

If you can safely remove the top of the machine, check carefully the pipes running from the pump to the brewhead, and the bypass line back to the water tank. Most machines use hard plastic joiners in the lines, and these are notoriously susceptible to failure after a while, probably due to the combination of temperature and vibration. The connections on the pressure relief valve near the output of the pump are most often the culprit, probably because it is subjected to pretty savage vibration. You may have to run the machine briefly with the top off to see where the leak is occurring. Be VERY careful if you do and keep well clear of all wiring etc while it's plugged in! There is a slight chance that one of the silicon rubber pipes has split, but that is a very small chance indeed.

SOURCE: My gaggia titanium says it's brew unit is blocked

Try cleaning and relubing the brew unit.
If that fails you require a new main board.

SOURCE: I have a Gaggia Titanium

If you make a pre-ground shot but don't put any coffee in it, and it does the same thing you have a blockage in the brew head.
If it run normally, your grind is to fine. Turn the grinder knob to a larger number. It takes 3 times to change to the new grind.
If it still dribbles, remove the brew unit (behind the door)
Holding the handle, the top left side is the brew head. There is an outlet pipe that exits the frontside towards the door. 2 screws (some have 3) hold it to the top. Remove the 2 screws while holding the manifold. Once they are removed, lift the l assembly off (becareful, there is a spring and inside a steel ball (don't loose it or your out of luck). Turn the brew unit upside down while holding the brew head in your other hand and the steel ball should fall out. If it doesn't come out put a towel down and tap the brew unit on the towel. This should force it out.
Now remove the brew screen, by holding the screen with your finger and twisting the thumbscrew (remember thumbscrew, DON'T use the key to install the screen, use your fingers.....
Once the screen is out look at where the screen was. There are 2 holes. 1 big one in the center and a small one to the side.
Now use air to blow back through the opening where the steel ball was to clear the opening. Once its open, clean then reassemble. Brew unit on towel right side up. Drop the steel ball in first. Then the spring.
Then place the manifold on top of that with the pipe towards the door. Insert your screws (I turn them backwards a little with a little downward pressure until they feel like they drop into the threads. They should turn down easily, if not back them up a little more ( we are trying to find the old threads) and tighten. Install screen, and tighten with your fingers. The screen just needs to be flush with the bottom of the brew head.
Run another pre-ground without the coffee and rinse it out. Do this once in a while to prevent this.

When I turn on the machine, it usually performs a rinsing cycle. The problem I have now is that the screen says rinsing, but no water is coming from the spout. Water seems to be coming from the bottom...

Hi, Its got a blockage. Try removing and cleaning the brew unit, but I can tell you now, it needs to be looked at by a repairer. A normal blockage should leek in to the drain tray, but a leak on the bench means something is split or cracked. I do repairs. Dazza

Leaks water from bottom when brewing coffee or using steam unit

If it is coffee colored water, check the chamber under the white plastic valve behind the brew unit, that might be blocked with coffee grounds. If it is clean water one of the lines might need new o-rings.

Will grind the coffee beans but no water passing

Either the grind is too fine or the brew unit is blocked at the screen.

No hot water or steam from wand.

If steam wand is not blocked then the problem is on the inside of the machine, try descaling the machine that might clear the blockage in the steam line.

No water coming through on rinse cycle

Hi,

try to make a cup of water (tea), if you not get any water that way i think you have to replace the flow meter in the machine.

Best regards
