Motorola a1200 screen calibration

My screen has offset to the left and I have ben unabled to reset it or recalibrate it. This has rendered the phone useless! Is there anything that can be done to recalibrate it?

I have the same problem with my screen calibration.. It seems as though the touch sensor area has shifted to the right. So trying to recalibrate the screen does not work because the clicks at the the right edge of the screen falls outside the phone area itself.. So a click on #3 on the keypad would actually click #2 or even worse #1.. I managed to recalibrate but after a few minutes or a call it goes back off for itself!!!!! Phone is almost useless now..

THE SCREEN TOURCH PAD IS NOT WORKING, I DISCOVERED THAT WHEN THE BATTERY WAS LOS LOW THE OK! BOTTON WAS UP AND I TOUCHED SOME DISTANCE LOWER LEFT THE POSITION OF THE RESPONSE AND IT WORKS. THE WORST OF ALL HAS BEEN THAT I CANN'T EVEN RECEIVE CALLS NOR DO ANYTING WITH MY PHONES COS, I HAVE THE MEMORY FULL. EVERY ACTIVITY WITH THE PHONE RESULTS TO NOTHING.

I TRIED TO CONNECT IT TO THE NET BUT ALL PROVED ABORTIVE. IT SEEMS THAT I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD SOME SOFTWARE TO ENABLE ME OVERCOME THIS PROBLEM BUT I DON'T KNOW WHICH SOFTWARE I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD ONTO MY SYSTEM FOR NOW.

MOREOVER I WANT TO RESET THE PHONE TO THE FACTORY SETTINGS IF THAT CAN SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

WHO CAN HELP ME OUT OF THE NASTY PROBLEM I AM HAVING NOW.

If the screen calibration is way off then it seems that you can't even click on the crosshair during screen calibration. However, tapping on the crosshair does seem to adjust the calibration a little in the right direction each time, it's just not obvious that anything happened. So the trick is just to keep trying - gently and repeatedly tap the same spot on the crosshair for several seconds - eventually the screen will calibrate.

Please see this link on how to recalibrate your touchscreen. The procedure should be the same as a Nuvi 14xx.

Screen calibration screwed up.. need to know how to reset it?

You can get back into the touch-screen calibration routine if you start up the machine with both of the needle offset buttons pressed at the same time ... once you've calibrated the touch-screen you'll be OK again.

My calibration were offset

Good morning,
I have a problem with my Samsung cell phone, its a GT-S5233A touch screen. The problem that I have is the touch screen seems to have shifted down about 1.5cm so I am unable to access my keypad, phonebook or menu. I have tried taking the battery off but then battled to put in my pin as the numbers on the keypad have also shifted. I aqlso tried the recalibration but that just froze. Please assist.
Thanks
Brian

Well you should have a calibration setting in the menu's. However if you can't use the touchscreen there should be another way to re-calibrate it. Here is the Owners Manual. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/pe/images/portal/cit_11221/212667155AVHP5700DVDOperationManual.pdf
Try the reset deatiled on Page 14, I'm sorry but other than that re-calibration is not detailed in the manual.

Was it working fine before it was de-installed

Motorola 1200

Have you tried calibration? (All menu>setup>screen calibration)
Do you use screen guard? If it is dirty then touch screen may not work.
Sometimes a simple restart may also solve the problem.

It appears you have damaged the touch screen. I would suggest taking it into a repair shop or if you are experienced with electronics replacing the screen yourself.
