I have a FE 140 Olympus Digital Camera. When you turn it on it beeps, the red light flashes, and the lenses goes in and out. The same thing happens when we try to download pictures, except that the camera will shut off, leaving the lense out. Do you have any idea what could be wrong?

Lens will probabaly need to be replaced. Used replacement lenses can usually be found on ebay. Mechanically inclined person can replace them quite easily. Olympus repair shops are usually quite expensive and it's almost better to get new camera rather than have them repair it.
